Social Action

The Diocesan Mission Statement states clearly that there must be a balance between "Evangelism" and "Social Action", and that is what the Diocese is striving to attain.

There are notable projects, which we aim to spell out in more detail on this page shortly, not least our work with the many refugees who come to The Gambia from war-torn countries on a daily basis.

It is said that the only way God dare appear to those who are hungry is in the form of bread. If we say we love our brothers and sisters, yet fail to meet their needs in poverty and distress, we betray the Jesus of the Gospels. This is why our Social Action is pivotal to our Diocesan life!
